Janelle Scialla originally trained in music, and worked for many years as both an orchestral flute player, and later as a session singer and flute player, as well as music teacher. From1993-1996 she studied healing in London with Elizabeth St John, founding member of the Association of Therapeutic Healers and continued to work with her on her apprenticeship programme for a further year. Concurrently, she attended martial arts classes at the Quindo Centre with Khaleghl Quinn, learning a combination of Chi Kung, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Aikido and Wing Chung, as well as the philosophy and spirituality behind the practise, and became a member of the Crane Society. She began working intuitively with crystals during that time, followed by post-graduate work with the International College of Crystal Healing, and later (2004-5) had further instruction with Dramis West. Other training includes meditation, yoga, craniosacral therapy, Shiatsu, colour therapy, alchemy, symbolism, Tarot, Sacred Geometry and dream interpretation.
Janelle is a registered General Natural Practitioner and Master Crystal Therapist. She served on the Council of the International Federation of Crystal Healers in 2006, has been a member of the ATH Core Group since 2007, and is currently Chair of the ATH. She is principal of Earthworks School for the Healing Arts, an accredited private college, and has been facilitating courses and workshops in healing and crystal healing since 2002.
As a practitioner, Janelle employs an eclectic, intuitive approach, using individual techniques or combining modalities, as she feels appropriate.
